Phoenix Sunnyslope falls to Gilbert Perry in boys basketball quarterfinals

Phoenix Sunnyslope, which played in the big arena at state last year and once this year, started Thursday's Division I boys basketball quarterfinal game feeling at home at Arizona State's Wells Fargo Arena. But a 15-2 start soon evaporated with freshman guard Markus Howard leading Gilbert Perry into the state semifinals for the first time in school history with a 54-49 victory.
