In a game that was close from the opening tip to the final buzzer, No. 8 Phoenix Shadow Mountain defeated No. 4 Vail Cienega 63-60 in the semifinals of the Division II boys basketball state tournament at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale Thursday night. Shadow Mountain will play No. 3 Flagstaff, a 64-62 overtime winner over No. 2 Tempe, in the state championship game at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Jobing.com Arena.
