Left-hander Patrick Corbin will start Friday against the Colorado Rockies, and if you map out his schedule, five days at a time, his turn to pitch would land on March 22, the day the Diamondbacks are scheduled to open the season in Australia against the Los Angeles Dodgers. But not only does Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson caution not to read too much into that, he acknowledges the club has talked about not even sending Corbin to Australia.
