On Monday, Diamondbacks outfielder Cody Ross ran the bases for the first time since having surgery to repair a dislocated hip suffered last August. Ross, who injured the hip stretching for the bag while running to first base, ran at about 75 percent, he said, and did some change of direction. He said he had no trepidation about stepping on first base for the first time in six months.
