AIA Legislative Council approves amendment to promote diversity in committees

The Arizona Interscholastic Association's Legislative Council approved an amendment on Friday that promotes ethnic diversity among committees and boards. After two hours of discussion during the legislative council meeting that included votes on tweaking language that would give conferences leverage to vote in AIA Executive Board members, the original proposed bylaw for diverse representation in the Executive Board's membership was voted on.
