Phoenix Coyotes coach Dave Tippett easing Martin Erat into lineup

Coyotes coach Dave Tippett met with newly auired winger Martin Erat on Thursday morning to debrief him on the team's structure and style, but Erat is still being afforded somewhat of a grace period to settle into the lineup. "I think the first couple games we just gotta get him up and running a little bit," Tippet said. "He's a smart player. I went through a bunch of stuff with him this morning. He's a veteran, smart player. It's not as if this is all new to him. He knows how to play the game. It's just a matter of him getting in and getting comfortable."
