No. 24 Arizona State women's basketball validated its return to the national rankings for the first time in four years with a hard-fought 63-60 win Monday night over No. 20 Syracuse. The Sun Devils (11-1) trailed for much of the second half at Wells Fargo Arena but never by much after getting a defensive handle on Brianna Butler, who scored 20 of her 25 points in the first half.
