Ish Smith needed for spark for Phoenix Suns with Goran Dragic out

If everything was well Friday night with the Suns, Ish Smith only would have been playing at the end of a blowout. That does not make Smith any less important. With point guard Goran Dragic missing all or parts of the past five games, Smith has been pressed into duty and provided a necessary spark, whether it was a career-high eight assists in 16 minutes at New Orleans, being a plus-12 at San Antonio or two first-half jumpers Friday night against Denver.
