The Arizona Diamondbacks announced that they have hired Dave Duncan as a special assistant to the General Manager/pitching consultant. Duncan, 68, will assist the Major League coaching staff's instruction of pitchers and catchers during Spring Training, evaluate the club's farm system and provide input on D-backs' prospective draft prospects.
