WM Phoenix Open sets new weekly attendance record

Sunday's attendance of 60,232 was well below the final-day record but easily was enough to establish a new weekly mark. It brought the total to 563,008, well ahead of the previous mark of 538,356, set in 2008. It was nearly 38,000 more fans than attended last year. "The week was phenomenal," tournament chairman Tom King said. "The weather was great, which is always such a big factor, and we had a good leader board. We couldn't ask for anything better."
