Back in the fall, when the Coyotes were still piecing together an opening night roster, it was unusual to see so many viable options at training camp. Obviously, a large portion of the roster was settled by the returning veterans and recent acquisitions, but the competiveness among the emerging prospects was unique - at least compared to recent seasons.
