ASU basketball's Jordan Bachynski building a defense out of blocks

Let's start with what we can measure. Jordan Bachynski has blocked 272 shots in his Arizona State career. That puts him within seven of breaking Anthony Cook's Pac-12 career shot-blocking mark set 24 years ago, a record that could fall by sundown Saturday. That alone is impressive. But it's just half the story. For every shot Bachynski rejects, he might change two or three more. Then there are times when guards penetrate only to dish because they see the 7-foot-2 senior center waiting. This makes Bachynski a powerful defensive force.
