Arizona Wildcats drop in college basketball polls as Syracuse takes over No. 1 spot

Arizona's last-second loss at Cal coupled with Syracuse's nail-biting finish over Duke has pushed the Orange into the top spot in this week's college basketball polls. The Wildcats (21-1 overall, 8-1 Pac-12) had their school-record start snapped when Justin Cobbs made a game-winning shot with :02 left. Arizona does maintain a two-game lead in conference standings when Oregon State (13-8, 5-4) toppled UCLA (17-5, 6-3) on Sunday. Cal (15-7, 6-3) is now tied for second with UCLA, with ASU, Stanford, Colorado, Oregon State, and Washington all sitting at 5-4.
