First-period play better on Phoenix Coyotes' road trip

Their current swing through western Canada boasts a 1-1 showing with one more game to go, but it's hard to criticize the Coyotes' performance. They've been outshooting and out-chancing the opponent all the while receiving better defensive play. That translated into a commanding 6-2 win against the Edmonton Oilers Tuesday, but the Coyotes were victims of some unfortunate puck luck Wednesday en route to a 4-1 loss to the Calgary Flames.
