The league's advance scouts had their work cut out for them early in the season when the Suns had a new coach, a new system and a mostly new roster. Much like Suns fans, they did not know what was coming. The Suns could catch teams off-guard, particularly for anyone buying into the unanimous low expectations for the Suns' season. Games like Friday's blowout loss at Golden State, which admittedly had been shocked by the Suns 12 days earlier, show that nobody might be taking the Suns lightly any longer.
