NHL general managers discuss possible changes to overtime format

General managers convened in Toronto last Tuesday for their regular fall summit, and the current overtime format was a popular topic. Much of the discussion revolved around potential changes that would extend overtime, allowing more opportunity for a game to be resolved before a shootout.
