Being a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame selection committee is not a thankless job. The 46 members, of which I am one, are thanked often and profusely by the folks who run the Hall of Fame. And on selection day, a hot breakfast and boxed lunch are provided. So I'm not complaining, nor seeking sympathy, by noting that selecting no more than five inductees out of the 25 semifinalists announced on Wednesday is going to be harder than organic chemistry.
