Pac-12 looks good as conference play opens

It's hard to imagine a better Pac-12 non-conference season. Seven undefeated teams remain in college basketball -- two are from the Pac-12. Arizona is the top-ranked team in the country, a national-title contender. Oregon is the nation's highest-scoring team. Signature wins? The conference has some. Arizona defeated Duke. Colorado, unforgettably, knocked off Kansas. And Stanford, forever under-achieving, produced perhaps the biggest win of the Johnny Dawkins era, beating Connecticut on the road.
