NFL executive Ray Anderson was named Arizona State's Vice President for Athletics today. Anderson replaces Steve Patterson, who took the athletic director's job at Texas in early November. Anderson was introduced by ASU President Michael Crow during a news conference at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale. Anderson will continue in his current capacity with the NFL through the Super Bowl on Feb. 2 and will start at ASU on Feb. 5.
