Gilbert girls soccer staves off late Gilbert Highland comeback

A late comeback was not enough for Gilbert Highland, as it was upset by Gilbert 3-2 at Highland High on Friday night. The game started off quietly, as neither team scored until Gilbert junior midfielder Melinda Gutierrez put a shot from the left side into the back of the net in the 13th minute to give Gilbert a 1-0 lead.
