LOS ANGELES -- Arizona State's season has yet to take a defining shape. Here, in the second week of January, it still shifts one way or another depending on the day. Sometimes the Sun Devils shoot well and look good. Other times, they struggle. For a program trying to reach its first NCAA Tournament since 2009, that won't cut it. The season is past its mid-point and ASU already has missed out on opportunities to show it deserves to be in this year's NCAA field.
