At the time, it was a risky and perhaps unpopular move to assign a veteran defenseman to the American Hockey League, but the decision to send Rusty Klesla to the minors last month elicited exactly the type of results the Coyotes were hoping it would. "If one game is any indication, it was the best thing that happened to him and us, quite frankly," General Manager Don Maloney said. "I thought he looked quicker. He was physical. He was very aggressive pinching, and it was the Rusty Klesla of old that we saw (Thursday) night, which was terrific."
